Who we are
MONEYOS is an early-stage personal finance product in private beta. It is not a bank, payment service, broker or financial adviser.
What we collect
Account information: your email address, name if you give one, and sign-in details handled by our authentication provider (passwords are never stored in readable form). Financial information you enter: income, balances, accounts, recurring expenses, savings targets, safety buffer, goals and subscriptions. Transaction information you enter: date, merchant, amount, category and optional notes. Feedback you choose to send. Technical information: basic request logs needed to run and secure the service. We do not connect to your bank.
How we use it
To calculate what you can spend, forecasts, goal progress, Money Detective findings and What If scenarios for you, and to improve the product. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
AI processing
Numbers are calculated by MONEYOS's own deterministic engine. If you ask for a plain-language explanation, only the calculated lines for that one answer (not your full history) are sent to an AI model through our AI infrastructure provider to be rephrased. Demo mode never sends data to an AI model.
Storage and security
Personal account data is stored in our cloud database. Database rules ensure each account can only read and change its own data. Secret keys are kept on the server. Demo mode data stays in your browser's local storage. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim any security certification.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use your browser's local storage only for things the service needs to work: keeping you signed in and storing demo data. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Product usage events (for example "forecast viewed") are counted without amounts, merchants or other financial details.
Your rights
You can view and edit your data in the app, and delete your account and all of its financial data at any time from Settings → Delete account. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR) you may have further rights, such as access, correction, portability and objection. Contact us to exercise them.
